Conversation

Before meeting in person, we’ll discuss the needs and wants for your project by phone or email. A chat about the project scope, your budget and timeline helps us to determine, together, if we are the right fit for one another. If we are, we’ll schedule an appointment to meet at your home and discuss further.

Consultation & Measurements

At this initial appointment, we’ll brainstorm, talk about possibilities and solutions, and begin to develop a direction for the project. In order for your project to succeed, we both need to be in agreement with project goals, budget, timeline, and expectations. If all of these items fall in line, we will begin working on your project estimate and an initial preliminary design concept.

Rough Estimate & Acceptance

We’ll meet a second time to present your project proposal and our estimate. At this time, we’ll make any adjustments to the budget and review the project timeline.

After our meeting, you’ll have time to review the estimate. Once you decide to move forward, you’ll sign the pre-construction estimate and write a check to secure your project dates.

Design

Development

We’ll continue to ask more questions about your ideal space. What currently works and what doesn’t? It’s always helpful when clients have gathered inspiration photos.

We’ll develop some design concepts. These sketches and material proposals are presented at the first design meeting where we’ll weigh the pros and cons and adjust the design.

Selections &

Estimating

This stage moves your project from design to realization. Our designer continues to assist you in the selection process, providing expertise. Our process is meant to minimize the stress and overload of selecting finishes and build your confidence in the final product. Alongside selections, any other needed subcontractors will produce accurate estimates.

Construction

Preparation

During this phase of your project, you might feel like you are doing a lot of waiting. The fact is, in the background we’re finishing prior projects, arranging any special orders, finalizing the schedule and securing all the expert trade partners. A few weeks before your project begins, you’ll be updated on the exact start date and given any further instructions to prepare for your project kick off.

Construction

Begins

This is the part of the project where the excitement really begins! Demolition starts and things progress toward the design vision. It’s a busy time as we progress day by day and week by week. You’ll make an additional payment as work progresses. Through the process you’ll chat with the team so that we can keep you up to date.

Project

Completion

Our team will be sure that the project is done all the way, and that it’s done RIGHT following our final punch list. Those initial design concepts will have become a reality.

You’ll pay the final installment payment upon completion and have a handoff meeting with the team so that you know how to operate the features of your home.
